Redwood City, CA - Cuesta Technologies, the leading Web developer for the Education Industry, announces a new Steck-Vaughn School Supply (SVSS) Business to Consumer Web site.
The new SVSS Web site is the third Web application that Cuesta has built for the Steck-Vaughn Company, a Harcourt Company. The new site is designed to promote SVSS's line of school materials and supplies to both parents and teachers and then direct their interest to the appropriate parent/teacher store to purchase the products.
Steck-Vaughn is the world's second largest publisher of supplementary educational materials. As one of Steck-Vaughn's newest entities, the School Supply division turned to Cuesta to develop a site that would highlight their uniqueness while remaining representative of the Steck-Vaughn Company.
"We chose Cuesta Technologies for our Web development project on the recommendation of other divisions within the company that have used Cuesta's services", said Carol Marcotte, Director of SVSS. "It was a great decision because we are delighted with the way Cuesta worked with us-they exceeded our expectations and completed the project on time and on budget."

The new SVSS Web site is based on Cuesta's online catalog system and Web-N-Able™ technologies which afforded the company quick access to a sophisticated e-business solution. The SVSS Web site is designed to interest both parents and teachers and includes a searchable database of over 200 products that is quick and flexible, allowing them to find materials that are perfectly suited for the needs of their children and students.
Product pages include links to hundreds of printable sample workbook pages for use in the classroom or at home. An easy-to-use store locator directs shoppers to the store closest to their homes and schools.
"What we really appreciate about our new Web site, says Marcotte, is how easy it is to change and update. Cuesta’s Web-N-Able™ tool lets us manage our site and keep it always fresh and interesting."
"We completely enjoyed the Steck-Vaughn School Supply assignment because they were an ideal client, both philosophically and technically", said Monty Swiryn, President of Cuesta. "Our company's roots are in education and educational software development, allowing us to build the most solid Web applications for the education industry. The next generation technologies we employed for SVSS will support their Internet initiatives now and in the future."
