September 10, 2003, Redwood City, CA - Cuesta Technologies is pleased to announce the completion of a new Web site
for Teaching Matters, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality technology training to teachers and school administrators.
In order for professional development institutions like Teaching Matters to flourish, they must practice what they preach. For them, this meant sifting through various products and services on the market and selecting those that truly made their work easier.
"We deal with state-of-the-art technology on a daily basis. When Cuesta demonstrated their built-in Web site content management and forms generation tools, we knew we just had to have them," said Evan O'Donnell, Technology Strategist for Teaching Matters. "We were also truly impressed with the way Cuesta could provide outstanding graphic design services in addition to the technology solution we required. Most Web developers don't do both well," he continued. |
The reality of today's economy for many non-profit organizations is that they cannot afford to spend a lot of money to develop a professional Web site or on staff to maintain it. However, the "catch 22" for many of them is that without a professional Web site, their organization has difficulty attracting members or gaining the momentum and recognition they require to succeed. That's where Cuesta Technologies fit in...
The new Teaching Matters Web site was designed to help teaching professionals fully understand the depth and breadth of the various programs offered by the organization The site also serves as a portal for members to log-in and participate in online activities and other benefits made available to them. In addition, the site showcases a variety of impressive student work that has been generated as a result of their schools' participation in programs developed by Teaching Matters, Inc.
"Teaching Matters and other non-profits are huge beneficiaries of Cuesta's tools and services because they often have a few people who wear more than one hat" said Monty Swiryn, president of Cuesta Technologies. "Our built-in content management system, allows a program manager, development manager or other key staff member to double as a Webmaster without requiring that the organization hire expensive technical staff to do the work." |
