Sophisticated e-Stuff, Web Developement for School Market
Sophisticated e-Stuff - Cuesta's Tag Line Since 1996

From the beginning, Cuesta's charter has been to develop sophisticated and elegant Web solutions targeted to the K-12 industry.   Read on for a little bit (but not too much) geek speak...

In order to meet our goal of offering cost-effective, high-performance technology that is deployed in a customized installation, along with superb ongoing consultative service and signification ROI opportunity for our clients, Cuesta developed a "server side" application that works hand-in-hand with the Web server to interpret the HTML files that comprise the Web site.

Cuesta's Master's and PhD level programmers are easily able to include complex routines and conditional elements in the code that define a Web site without having to add separate complex scripts, or use limited vendor-specific applications. In this way, our developers can build Web applications -- not just collections of linked Web pages -- in a very short time, leading to very cost-effective solutions for our clients. In addition, upgrading the site with new features or design "make-overs" can be done without completely re-developing the site.

Best yet is that since we offer custom services, we never have to say no to a desired feature or functionality request.  The answer is always, "Yes!  We can do that!" This is true for both the front and back-end of the Web site. Cuesta's content management system allows non-technical marketing staff to manage the site with facility. Unlike many companies, our clients find they don't need a team of Web masters to update the site with ease, any time they wish.  They enjoy our Sophisticated e-Stuff well before their site goes live and are delighted and amazed by the power they have at their fingertips.  Cuesta clients have Cuesta behind them all the way, 24/7, every day of the year.

Client History: CDW's GetEdFunding - GetEdFunding.com CDW-G, together with its marketing consultant, came to Cuesta with an idea about how it could make the lives of educators easier while seeking funding opportunities.

CDW-G was looking to build a fully comprehensive, easy-to-use website that would allow educators and education nonprofits to find grants by a number of very specific categories, including the ability to search national or state-specific grants by subject, grade level, focus and more.  The backend of the system needed to be powerful and intuitive.  The site would display certain opportunities to any visitor, but only allow registered users to access the complete database of thousands of grant opportunities. The site was so successful in it's first year that it was awarded a Beacon Award by the AEP.  A prestigious award such as this, received after only eight months of operation, reflects history in the making.
