Sophisticated e-Stuff, Web Developement for School Market
Sophisticated e-Stuff - Cuesta's Tag Line Since 1996

From the beginning, Cuesta's charter has been to develop sophisticated and elegant Web solutions targeted to the K-12 industry.   Read on for a little bit (but not too much) geek speak...

In order to meet our goal of offering cost-effective, high-performance technology that is deployed in a customized installation, along with superb ongoing consultative service and signification ROI opportunity for our clients, Cuesta developed a "server side" application that works hand-in-hand with the Web server to interpret the HTML files that comprise the Web site.

Cuesta's Master's and PhD level programmers are easily able to include complex routines and conditional elements in the code that define a Web site without having to add separate complex scripts, or use limited vendor-specific applications. In this way, our developers can build Web applications -- not just collections of linked Web pages -- in a very short time, leading to very cost-effective solutions for our clients. In addition, upgrading the site with new features or design "make-overs" can be done without completely re-developing the site.

Best yet is that since we offer custom services, we never have to say no to a desired feature or functionality request.  The answer is always, "Yes!  We can do that!" This is true for both the front and back-end of the Web site. Cuesta's content management system allows non-technical marketing staff to manage the site with facility. Unlike many companies, our clients find they don't need a team of Web masters to update the site with ease, any time they wish.  They enjoy our Sophisticated e-Stuff well before their site goes live and are delighted and amazed by the power they have at their fingertips.  Cuesta clients have Cuesta behind them all the way, 24/7, every day of the year.

Let's Talk About e-Stuff - 408-376-2001

Client History: National Geographic Children's Books- www.NGChildrensBooks.org
A big company such as National Geographic sometimes has to look beyond its own resources to get things done for its smaller divisions in a timely fashion.  Cuesta had developed a Website for Natinoal Geographic's School division in the late '90s, so in 2000, when they needed a reliable Web developer for their Children's Books division, they turned to Cuesta.

Cuesta had a proven history for providing nearly 100% "uptime", something that was very important to National Geographic.  They needed a product and author database, and the ability to integrate correlations they received from a 3rd party correlations provider directly into their product pages.  Further, it was important to them that their customers be able to search for products and find the correlations as well as to search for specific state standards and find products that met them.  Along the way, their database manager moved on.  When they told us about their dilemma, we said, "let us do that for you".  Because many of Cuesta's team are educators, it was an easy task for us to take on. We understand their needs, we understand their products and series structure, and we were happy to do it.  We are proud of our nearly 15-year relationship with National Geographic.

Testimonial

We chose to work with Cuesta because of their unique understanding of how schools and libraries make purchase decisions. Two websites and six years later, we continue to be very pleased with their level of client service."
